The Lyke Wake Walk.
We would like to thank our support crews for working through the night to keep us going and a big thank you to everyone who sponsoured us.
The walk itself was an endurance test, due to the extreme weather conditions, 80% of the walk was across boggy marshland and the rain came down thick and fast. We didn't lose spirit though and carried on through the night, into the morning and then through the afternoon.
What kept most of us going was the thought of the pain that people go through with cancer and heart problems, it certainly made you think and made you more determined to complete the 42 mile walk. |
