We would like to thank our support crews working through the night to keep us going and a big thank you to everyone who sponsored us, a full list of our sponsors will be going up shortly. Thank you again.
The walk itself was an endurance test, due to the recent extreme weather conditions 80% of the walk was across boggy marshland and the rain came down thick and fast... we didn't lose spirit though and carried on through the night, into the morning and then through the afternoon.
What keep most of us going was the thought of the pain that people go through with Cancer and Heart problems, it certainly made you think and made you more determined to complete the 42 mile walk.
Out of the 12 walkers, 8 managed to make the full 42 miles and they were:
Chris Burrell
Jonathan Clark
Rob Ayre
Dave Hughes
Steve Garland
Barry Bloor
Steve Munro
Karen Barlow
The following managed 50% or more of the walk and had to stop due to injuries and shear pain from the nightmare walk:
Julia Ludolf
Catherine Ludolf
Kevin McGreal
Dan Wrightson
Everyone did really well and should be extremely pleased with their effort in the walk, it definately wasn't easy! |

At some point in time or another we have all come across people that suffer from life threatening illnesses, what must life be like for them? I wake up in a morning feeling refreshed and looking forward to the day ahead... do we take this for granted?
At CB Solutions we have the opportunity to help charities by raising money through various events. Hopefully it'll make a difference, we could help to save lifes, help to find cures, mostly importantly we can help someone! |

We are proud to announce our involvement in the Lyke Wake Walk, beginning at 8pm on Friday 6th July 2007... bloody nutters? probably!
Please read below to find out about the walk and which organisations we are sponsoring. |

The Lyke Wake Walk is a 42-mile walk, crossing the North Yorkshire moors, that has to be completed within 24 hours. The walk started as a major test of endurance and navigational skills, as there were no paths and only miles of moor land stretching out before the walkers.
Nowadays the route coincides with the Cleveland way and the coast-to-coast walk so paths have developed. However the terrain varies from footpaths to boggy marshes and therefore is very hard to complete.
The average time to complete the walk is 13 hours, so in summer the entire walk can be completed in daylight (so we chose to make it harder and do it when it's pitch black!)
Walkers of all ages and nationalities have completed the walk; many of them endured the walk in an attempt to raise money for worthy causes.
We will also be walking for charities we support: 35% of our money will go to the British Heart Foundation, 35% to Cancer Research UK and 30% to the efforts of Team Ecuador's World Challenge work. |

Team Ecuador is a team of 21, 15 and 16 year olds attempting to raise £3000 each to participate on a once in a lifetime expedition to Ecuador in July 2008. Whilst in Ecuador the team will be trekking and doing community work. World Challenge, an organisation working within schools, will be training the team and will support them when on expedition. |
