GRP Doorset U-Values
The U-values of GRP doorsets are very similar as the main insulation value comes from the core details (Polyurethene Foam).
PVC framed doorsets are compliant with Building regulations Part L and would have the following values when supplied unlgazed or with half glazed configurations.
| |
6 Panel door with PVC frame
1.2 W/m² K
Half glazed door with PVC frame
1.8 W/m² K (Standard glazing)
Half glazed door with PVC frame
1.5 W/m² K (Low E glazing)
| The configuration on the GRP leaf is panelled and flush. When considering other glazing options the U-Values will reduce proportionately with the reduction in glass area. |

GRP Door leaf tolerances on dimensions
Tolerances below are inline with the acceptable limits quoted in the proposed annex D document:
| |
Leaf size: +/- 3mm
Bow: Max 4mm |
Thickness: +/- 1mm
Twist: Max 4mm |
| |
The measurements should be taken at 20°C +/- 10°C.
The above measurements may be exceeded under the action of sunlight and wind pressure but must return to these tolerances once that effect has been removed. |
