CERTIFIRE Certification validates a product's suitability for use and precisely defines the limits of its suitability. It offers manufacturers the means to independently demonstrate the quality and performance of their products.

It provides specifiers and purchasers with the assurance that certified products will do the job expected of them.

FIRAS is a certification scheme for companies installing fire protection products and systems. If fire protection systems are not suitable for the application or are not installed properly they may fail in the event of a fire possibly leading to fire spread, premature collapse of the building and loss of life.

No matter how good a product is, poorly installed its fire protection performance can be severely reduced.

Safewood (UK) Limited t/a CB Solutions joined the CERTIFIRE Approved Doorsets and FIRAS Installation scheme 8 years ago under the name Chris Burrell Limited. We immediately saw the benefit that such schemes could give our customers.

At the time we were one of the first companies to be recognised on the Fire Door Scheme. Since then despite a change of company name we have actively promoted the CERTIFIRE and FIRAS schemes to our existing customer base.

We regularly advise existing and potential customers of the implications of the schemes. As one of only five companies in the country registered with both FIRAS and CERTIFIRE we are in an ideal position to offer a complete solution to our customers.

We believe that in the future regulations will continue to be tightened and that more installations will require FIRAS certification.

We have carried out successful installations in various locations including schools, hospitals, offices and high security MOD buildings - all of which bring with them individual requirements that need to be met.

All our works are fully guaranteed however if a problem occurs we provide a rapid response for our customers, due to fire doors being such an important aspect of passive fire protection.

Our dedicated team allows us to handle the whole package of site survey, production of the fire doors and glazed apertures, under the CERTIFIRE scheme, as well as site fitting with the FIRAS registered supervisors we are able to meet tight project deadlines and time schedules our clients require.
